OBIT: Jonathan Clements died 1896

JONATHAN CLEMENTS

Near Lone Jack, last Friday, an old gentleman names CLEMENTS and his wife were returning home from Lee’s Summit, when the horse became unmanageable and ran away, throwing Mr CLEMENTS and his wife from the buggy. Mrs. CLEMENTS escaped without great injury, but the latest report, Wednesday evening, says Mr CLEMENTS was still unconscious and it is thought that he cannot recover.
